Announcements & Important Dates

The Victorian Heritage Restoration Fund is a funding program for restoration and conservation works of heritage properties. The participating councils fund these works with oversight by VHRF Committee of Management, including the National Trust, the Department of Transport and Planning, Heritage Victoria.

The VHRF is open for applications from the Melbourne City Council, the Yarra City Council, Casey City Council, the Ballarat City Council, Greater Bendigo City Council, and Merri-bek City Council.

28 November 2024 (Applications due 25 October 2024)

Eligibility

Each local council’s Heritage Restoration Fund have their own eligibility criteria but all applications must include a property within a Heritage Overlay, works visible from the public realm that enhance the significance and appearance of the building, must relate to conservation and restoration works, and have an associated permit or exemption from council

Applications will be received for the participating Heritage Restoration Funds in Melbourne, Yarra, Casey, Greater Bendigo, Ballarat, and Merri-bek all year round.
